The Lord's Prayer
Posted by MyBible on Sunday, October 16, 2005 (22:12:30) (1653 reads)
Matthew 6:9-13
Our Father which art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come.
Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil:
For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

King James Version of the Bible Chapter a Day RSS Feed
Posted by MyBible on Saturday, September 24, 2005 (22:39:10) (749 reads)
We've added the King James Translation of our popular Bible Chapter a Day RSS Feed. The link is http://www.mybiblescripture.com/rss/chapaday.php?start_date=2005-08-22&trans=KJV
You can changed the start date to today's date to start from the beginning with Genesis 1:1. For example, if today's date is September 24th, 2005, then the url would be http://www.mybiblescripture.com/rss/chapaday.php?start_date=2005-09-24&trans=KJV. This becomes your new url to get the next chapter each day.
Also you can switch to the Revised Standard Version by changing the trans=KJV to trans=RSV or removing the &trans=KJV in the url.

Verse Tags
Posted by MyBible on Monday, September 05, 2005 (02:04:08) (458 reads)
We've added the ability to add tags to verses. Tags allow people to search for verses by words that are not in the verse. For instance a verse may be about love, but may not actually contain the word "love". By adding the keyword "love", the verse will show up when searching for love.

Rating Bible Passages
Posted by MyBible on Wednesday, August 31, 2005 (03:47:21) (304 reads)
Now that we have the Revised Standard version completely loaded into the database, you can start taking advantage of the verse rating and comment features.
Why rate a verse?
The verse ratings will be used for the "verse of the day", "random verse", and a quick guide to important verses for our visitors. One we get enough verses rated, we will enable these features, and they will also be available as RSS feeds.
What are verses rated on?
Use any criteria you wish. 10 is the highest rating and 1 is the lowest. The bottom line is that the higher a verse is rated, the more likely a visitor to this site or subscriber to one of the RSS feeds will see it.
How do you comment on a verse?
When you rate a verse, you can add a comment. The comment can be your interpretation of the verse or an explanation of why you rated the verse the way you did.
The more scripture you rate, the more informative and enjoyable this site will be!
