Study the Bible

The Bible is the oldest book in the world, and yet it does not grow old with time. Books written by men get out of date, but God's book is ever new. In its wonderful history the Bible has stood alone, and it is today the greatest and best book man ever read. Every where it goes it bears good fruit. The worst of the heathen are being change by power of the divine word. In Christian lands, many are drifting away from the book that saves. Every minister of the gospel is failing to teach the pure word of God and the people know it not. If ever there was a time in the history of the world when men and women both young and old, needed a power in their lives to keep them from sin, that time is now. The world today is going down to ruin and eternal destruction. There is only one thing that can save, and that is the plan of salvation found in the word of God. We must not be satisfied to accept the opinions of others. We must know for are ourselves, by a personal study of its doctrines, what the Bible teaches, or as Paul says, the time will come [and has come] when people have itching ears, and will demand teachers who will turn away their ears from hearing and turn them into fables. Every one of us must eat food to keep his body alive and strong; likewise we must feed on the word of God to obtain the bread of life for the soul. There is power in the word can make of us new creatures in Christ Jesus. Just the simple reading of the word of God as converted many. As we read it, our love of it will grow. When it is hid in the heart, it works like yeast in the bread, and changes the whole character. The power is the word itself. It is spirit and life to go who will receive it. The reception of the teaching of this blessed book will prepare for eternal happiness everyone who will read heed it. We must read it to learn how they escape wickedness that is in the world; how we may become separated from its worthlessness. It speaks with equal power to high and low, to rich and poor, to every race in people. It becomes the light to guide us through this dark world of sin and sorrow to the land of endless day

Pal.

Just checking to make sure the "order" is correct,

being born of the Spirit makes us new creatures in Christ, not first reading the word. We must first believe in our heart that He is raised from the dead and confess with our mouth Him as Savior.

So then faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.

Do you see this order, belief, confession, hearing, faith?

Those who have not confessed Jesus Christ will never understand scripture even if they read it all day and night.

Is this what you are saying?
