i have found out that my husband of 16 years has used meth and pot and alchol all our marriage. i had found out about the meth use and he says he can quit anytime and he does not have to have it. is there any such thing as being able to just lay it down and walk away. i found out he has slept with numerous women and has not ever been faithful to me. another thing i would like to know when they are like this do they try to come back at some point. he says he does not love me anymore and he is never coming back. we had our 16 anniversary and we planned our future together he told me he would always be their i also took him out to eat for his b day a week kater on the way home he told me it was over between us. when he was on the meth he was happy and very good to me when he came off of it he was mean and hateful. he has gotten his own place but he is living with another woman at this time. i am very devasted and hope some one can shine alittle light on this subject. i want to know will he get worse? will he come back? i really need someone to help me understand how he is acting on this meth since he feels he can quit anytime. he would do it that i knew of maybe 2 to 3 times a month.

For what it's worth, you have to be glad you are out of that relationship. I don't know if this reply is months too late but I'm giving you my 2 cents just the same. He probably won't come back. The sooner you realize this, the better. Although there are people who can quit a bad habit in a snap, it is not without any withdrawal effects. Maybe he was nasty to you because he was undergoing withdrawal. You yourself said that he has never been faithful to you so I think you are better off without him. You deserve better. Don't ever let anyone or anything convince you otherwise.
